The results of the examination of the quality of Harno Screen Printing liquid waste in Moyudan obtained a Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) level exceeding the quality standard of 1,069 mg/L. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of various thicknesses of rice husk and coconut shell activated charcoal media in reducing COD levels of Harno Screen Printing Industry liquid waste in Moyudan. The research method is Pre test - Post test with Control Group Design with pre-treatment (coagulation and sedimentation) followed by filtration and adsorption using variations in the thickness of rice husk and coconut shell activated charcoal media of 25 cm: 75 cm, 50 cm: 50 cm, and 75 cm: 25 cm. The reduction in COD after pre-treatment was 96.7%. The average COD reduction after filtration with a thickness of 25 cm: 75 cm was 40.45%, a thickness of 50 cm: 50 cm was 34.16%, a thickness of 75 cm: 25 cm was 71.4%, and a control of 6.93%. Conclusion, Activated charcoal filtration of rice husks and coconut shells 75 cm: 25 cm is the most effective thickness to reduce COD levels in Harno Screen Printing Industry liquid waste with a reduction of 71.4%.
Maulina Dwi Andani Bambang Suwerda Tri Mulyaningsih Ibnu Rois ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-30 2025-04-30 3 2 60 68 10.33761/jklm.v3i2.1744 Hubungan Posisi Kerja dan Masa Kerja dengan Keluhan Low Back Pain pada Pekerja Batu Bata http://jurnal.poltekkespadang.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kesling/article/view/1634
Every workplace, both formal and informal, has hazards and risks that can lead to accidents and occupational health. One of the informal industries is the brick industry that is at risk of occupational diseases, namely Low Back Pain, which is pain felt in the lower back. One of the brick printing factories is located in Nagari Ganggo Hilia, Bonjol District. In 2022, 65.7% of workers in Bonjol District experienced complaints of low back pain. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between work position and working period with complaints of Low Back Pain in brick workers in Bonjol District, Pasaman Regency in 2024.The type of research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach in January – June 2024. Sampling by census, the entire population was sampled as many as 35 people. Data was collected through interviews and observations.. Univariate and bivariate data were analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results of the study showed that 68.6% of brick workers experienced Low Back Pain complaints, as many as 62.9% of brick workers did work with high risk and very high body positions and as many as 65.7% of brick workers with a long working period. The bivariate results showed that there was a relationship between work position (p=0.001) and working period (p=0.002) with Low Back Pain complaints. To reduce the risk of low back pain complaints, brick owners should provide work tools that support workers to work ergonomically such as providing seats so that they do not stand when making bricks and regulating workers' working hours according to the conditions of the work environment.
Riri Mulyani Burhan Muslim Mukhlis Mukhlis Awalia Gusti Lindawati Lindawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-30 2025-04-30 3 2 69 77 10.33761/jklm.v3i2.1634 Pengaruh Penyuluhan Kesehatan terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) http://jurnal.poltekkespadang.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kesling/article/view/1128
Improved knowledge of Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) in schools can be acquired through health education. Education can help enhance one’s knowledge. One of the activities in health education is dissemination using interesting learning media, such as media booklets. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of health dissemination on the level of knowledge of clean and healthy life behavior (PHBS) students in MTSN 6 Kerinci Year 2023. This type of research is analytical research with an experimental design. This is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample of the study consisted of 63 respondents. Univariate and bivariate data analysis with correlation tests The results of the study obtained a p value (P Value) for knowledge before and knowledge after given health certification of 0,000 indicating that there is a significant influence of medical certification on the level of knowledge of Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) students in MTSN 6 Kerinci in 2023. Health education has a significant impact on improving the knowledge of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) among MTsN 6 Kerinci students. This is evidenced by the increase in the students’ average knowledge score from 60.16 before the education to 84.29 after, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). It is recommended that students continue to develop awareness in applying clean and healthy living behaviors within the school environment.
Rima Eka Putri Sri Lestari Adriyanti Rahmi Hidayanti Wijayantono Wijayantono Erdi Nur R. Noise in the school environment can have negative effects on students, such as difficulty concentrating, fatigue during learning, discomfort, and communication disturbances. This study aimed to determine the relationship between noise and student complaints at elementary schools (SD) in Nagari Nanggalo, Koto XI Tarusan District, in 2023. This research used an observational analytic design. The population consisted of all students from three elementary schools in Nagari Nanggalo, totaling 443 students. Noise measurements were taken at 8 points, and the student sample consisted of 82 students. Data were collected by measuring noise levels using a Sound Level Meter and a stopwatch, as well as through direct interviews using a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods with the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that five of the measured points had noise levels exceeding the environmental health quality standards. A total of 26 students (31.7%) reported complaints, primarily related to difficulty concentrating and disturbances in communication during learning. The study found a significant relationship between noise and student complaints (p=0.001), indicating that noise in the school environment in Nagari Nanggalo is significantly associated with student complaints, such as difficulty concentrating and communication disturbances, with most noise levels exceeding the standard threshold.
Rahmadilla Putri Atmadio Asep Irfan Rahmi Hidayanti Mahaza Mahaza Aidil Onasis ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-30 2025-04-30 3 2 86 92 10.33761/jklm.v3i2.1149 Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Perilaku Penjamah Makanan Jajanan di Pantai Gandoriah Pariaman http://jurnal.poltekkespadang.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kesling/article/view/713
Food handlers are individuals who directly interact with food and its utensils, from preparation to serving. Observations at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman, revealed unhygienic behaviors among food handlers, such as not wearing aprons, not washing hands with soap, and having long, dirty nails. This study aimed to identify factors associated with the behavior of street food handlers at Gandoriah Beach in 2022. An analytic survey method with a cross-sectional design was used. A sample of 45 food handlers was selected from a population of 68. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with a 95% confidence level (α=0.05). The results showed that 66.7% of respondents had a high level of knowledge, 62.2% had a positive attitude, 56.6% worked in areas with poor sanitation facilities, and 53.3% demonstrated good behavior. There was a significant relationship between attitude and behavior (p=0.005), and between sanitation facilities and behavior (p=0.042), but no significant relationship between knowledge and behavior (p=0.113).
